for Hydrogen and CO2

PREMABERGO
Hydrogen
Generator

Through the Steam Reforming process
and various purification technologies,
pure hydrogen at 99.99% in volume is obtained.
Starting from liquid, gaseous or solid hydrocarbons.

PREMABERGO
Hydrogen Purification
Plant

The purpose of this plant is to remove
impurities from a raw Hydrogen stream.

The impurities typically removed are:
– Oxygen
– Water

Oxygen is converted into water by
reacting with Hydrogen on a
Palladium or Platinum catalyst bed (DEOXO reactor).
The conversion reaction is:
O2 + 2H2 = 2H2O

The water is then removed
by dynamic adsorption (TSA Dryer).

Other impurities present that may need to be treated include:
H2S, CO, or traces of heavy hydrocarbons such as oils.
The most appropriate technology
for each specific case will be selected as needed.

Our contribution to
Environmental protection

With our technology, we strive to recover
and give a second life to the CO2 that
would normally be released into the environment.

Purification technologies are selected
to make the CO2 suitable based on the contaminants
present and its intended final use:

An important application is the conversion
of CO2 into METHANE through catalytic processes.

In the Methanation reactor, the CO2 (and also
any CO) reacts with Hydrogen.
It converts into methane and water by means
of a hydrogenation catalyst

CO2 + 4H2 = CH4 + 2H2O

The impurities that typically need to be treated are:
Olefins, other light unsaturated hydrocarbons, H2O, H2S,
sulfur compounds, mercaptans, heavy metals, Mercury.
